Camp Amigo for Kids with Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate
Attend Camp Amigo for Social Support and Fun
Camp Amigo is a weekend camp for children who have undergone cleft lip and cleft palate repair. It is a wonderful opportunity for kids who share similar experiences to connect with one another. New and old campers attend every year to help increase a valuable supportive network of friends who stay connected inside and outside of camp. Having the support of friends who experience similar challenges can make all the difference.
The annual Camp Amigo is held in the fall at Camp For All in Burton, Texas. Staff from The Craniofacial Team of Texas serve as counselors for the children. It is a great way for children to interact with peers in an activity-filled weekend!
Camp Amigo provides a place that we think is pretty special. It gives you a chance to make friends and share ideas while creating new experiences. The safe environment at Camp Amigo lets you express your feelings and know you will be respected. It’s a great way to escape from the social pressures of Facebook and Twitter and connect with others in an action-packed, fun-filled weekend.
