Planning planning planning is so very important when it comes to large tumor resection and reconstruction of the facial skeleton. Our patient had a large osteoma (bone tumor) of the forehead which extended into the orbit and intracranially.
We used medical modeling to plan resection with adequate margins and to plan reconstruction to preserve the patient’s symmetry and facial contour.
Our patient had excellent results postop with beautiful and symmetric contour of the forehead, nose and orbit.
